Knotted Wire Cup Brushes

Knotted wire cup brushes remove rust, weld scale, and burrs from large metal surfaces. These industrial brushes are also ideal for cleaning metal, blending edges, and preparing surfaces. A type of power brush, BRM's knotted wire cup brushes have a 5/8”-11 arbor hole for attachment to grinding tools.

As their name suggests, knotted wire cup brushes feature a cup-style design and knotted wire filaments. Cutting and cleaning occurs at the cup brush’s tips, but small pieces of wire can break-off during normal operations. Knotted ends help to support these tips and promote more aggressive brushing action.

Knotted wire cup brushes are available in single-row, double-row, and cable twist designs. Double-row tools offer extra fast cutting and cleaning over wide areas. All knotted wire cup brushes are available with carbon steel or stainless steel filaments.   

In addition to size and filament type, knotted wire cup brushes are specfifed by trim length. Industrial brushes with shorter trim lengths are more aggressive, but less flexible. Brush tools with longer trim lengths are less aggressive, but can reach curved or recessed areas.
